Vendor and Ordering Instructions

Various methods may be used for compiling titles for orders. If ordering from Follett, Perma-Bound, or Mackin, the Media Specialist can create a list or cart on the supplier's website. When adding titles, always include the approval source in the Notes section. Book vendors that provide free processing are Follett; Mackin, Perma-Bound; and Scholastic Library Publishing. However, some publications are not available from these suppliers and should be ordered from the publishers or specialized suppliers.

Items can be entered directly into your Workday requisition online or, for large title lists, you can enter a Do Not Exceed (DNE) order in Workday and attach a list. We commonly submit DNE orders to Follett and Perma-Bound (these two suppliers also give us free shipping). DNE orders are the easiest to enter because you just have to enter one line on the requisition that specifies the maximum dollar amount of the order. Also, one large order is easier to deal with than several small orders.
