Equitable Access

Lost Book Policy

Prime consideration is given to the maximum use and flow of materials throughout the school and for home use. Equitable access to materials for ALL students is a primary concern. Only in unusual cases are students prohibited from using materials outside the library media center. Lending regulations are fair, with loans renewable, unless there is justification for limitations. Equitable access to materials is the primary driver.

Please contact the media center if you have lost materials or materials damaged beyond repair. These should be paid for by the parent/guardian of the user responsible for the damage or loss. Please try to find the materials first though - we really just want the lost books back! Slips are sent home each quarter if students are over two weeks past due on library books. We purchase library book bound materials from approved vendors who process them for our collection so please do not purchase and send in a book copy.
