Library Class Schedule

All Howard County Elementary School Librarians see each student weekly for either a half hour (K, 3rd, 4th) or one hour (1st, 2nd, 5th) media lesson that includes instruction and time to check out books. Below is a list of days when homeroom classes have Media class. Beside the day of the week, look for your student's Homeroom teacher's name. Or just ask your child when they have Media, they probably know!

Red Day: 4th Jensen; Kinder Karastamatis; 2nd Dudek; 3rd Ippolito; 5th DeHaut-Acevedo

Orange Day: PreK Posada; 3rd Tyree; 2nd Eisentraut; 1st Francavilla

Yellow Day: 5th Neufeld; 1st Fonash; 2nd McCormick

Green Day: PreK Palmer; 5th Lunking; 1st Balighian; Kinder Reyes & Hann

Blue Day: 3rd Sharpmack; 4th Swalec and Johnson; 2nd Lubelczyk

I have planning at different times each day in which I also take a half hour lunch break. This usually affords me the flexibility I need to meet with staff and assess their needs for the upcoming days and weeks. I also get at least 30 minutes for planning each day but these times vary. During planning time I often gather materials for lessons, pull books for teachers and student projects and shelve books.
